Croydon based GGP Systems has recruited a number of new staff to strengthen the company's position as the leading supplier of geographic information, gazetteer management and e-government solutions to UK Local Authorities. These appointments will build on the company's internal software development and testing capabilities and also enforce the company's commitment to its growing user base. This recent growth in personnel has seen the company double in size in the last two years.
Ian Brookes joins the GGP team as Senior Developer with responsibility for the ongoing development of GGP GIS. Brookes was previously employed at Microgen a leading IT solutions and services group and has over ten years in software development. Tomasz Wunsch and Robert Fahey, who join as Software Developer and Software Tester respectively, will also be working on the development of GGP GIS.
The expansion of GGP continues with the appointment of Chris Barnes to the position of Junior Account Manager. Barnes, who has a degree in GIS from Kingston University, has previously worked for a number of organisations including Hammersmith and Fulham Council and Babtie. Karen Barcoo has also been recruited as PA/Administrator; with a degree in Marketing Communications from Greenwich University she will support the sales team and develop the company's marketing activities.
"GGP are well respected as suppliers of GIS to local authorities and the recruitment of suitable personnel is crucial to our continued success." Said Tim Maxwell, Managing Director and Founder of GGP Systems. "These recent appointments will help strengthen our existing team and provide a platform for future growth."
GGP Systems design software solutions specifically for local authorities.
