GGP integration with local government application systems
GGP's software has been designed to allow easy interchange of 'external' data, providing interactive and seamless links to planning, environmental, property, highways and other systems. Working closely with other Local Authority software suppliers, powerful integrated applications are developed that enable the full benefits of GIS to be quickly realised authority-wide.
Any application software can easily link to GGP; GGP has an open interface which means you don't have to buy a new development language or learn any new development skills. You can use your existing skillset with your existing development tools.
CAPS LINK
GGP integrates with the CAPS Uniform suite of products. This enables the exact location of any Uniform record to be viewed on digital maps within GGP through a seamless link to the Uniform records database.
From a Uniform record, users simply select a 'GIS Link' option and a map is immediately displayed, centred on the location of the search. When creating a new record in Uniform, the GGP link automatically determines the location so that the corresponding map record can be created automatically.
Although very sophisticated, the Uniform-GGP link has been specifically designed to be very easy to use. Within minutes, novice users should be able to switch between Uniform and GGP's map displays, print maps and undertake searches by area. Individual security access controls ensure inexperienced users do not alter valuable data accidentally.
SBS LINK
GGP links to contract management systems from Southbank Systems (SBS). Local authorities using the SBS software in areas such as street lighting, highways maintenance, street works, and grounds maintenance, can now access records through digital maps and perform location-based searches at the touch of a button.
The link provides a truly interactive system that most users will be proficient with in a few hours of use and, through GGP, SBS users can benefit directly from the easiest to use GIS currently available. By adding mapping and geographic analysis capabilities, GGP enhances the SBS systems so users can make better use of existing data.
GGP provides a quick visual reference through maps and allows geographical data analysis for improved service monitoring and works planning. Incoming calls can be dealt with more quickly through immediate identification of the locations of, for example, highway defects or streetlights.
