The NGz Web Connector is designed to help local authorities
interconnect systems by enabling easy access to a council's Local Land
and Property Gazetteer (LLPG); the central database of all properties,
streets and land. Using industry-standard XML to make integration
straightforward, Web Connector enables address lookups to be made from
within existing systems and web applications.
A highly useful facility for aiding moves toward e-government, Web
Connector is part of GGP's popular NGz Gazetteer Management Suite. It
allows searches by criteria such as street names, postcodes or
reference codes return addresses for instant data entry of details into
customer contact screens. When coupled to mapping systems, locations
can then be immediately pinpointed on maps that also display council
information.
Using the LLPG, address data is consistent and accurate ensuring the
adoption of authority-wide address standards and easier integration
between systems. The system supports the e-GIF compliant address
structure and Valuebill BS7666 gazetteer update schema.
