GGP innovation transforms environmental health services at Wear Valley

ggp-wearvalleywebCroydon, UK, May 2008 – GGP Systems is helping to improve Environmental Health services at Wear Valley District Council. Newly developed synchronisation software automatically integrates Environmental Health worksheets with a Geographic Information System (GIS) from GGP. This GIS application allows residents and staff of the County Durham based district to browse up to date, accurate Environmental Health service information using the web. The use of the ‘GGP Sync’ software has also helped the council highlight and target hot spots that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Added Interoperability Boosts Appeal of GGP’s GIS and NLPG

ggp-ggp2008eewebGGP Systems has boosted the appeal of its Geographical Information System (GIS) and NLPG software with improved interoperability.  GGP 2008 provides easy access to records and mapping overlays held in other systems with the ability to store geometry data in Oracle ‘Spatial Locator’, Microsoft SQL Server and Postgres databases, allowing all spatial data to be stored in one centralised repository.  This greatly reduces data duplication, improves data quality and makes corporate map overlays easily accessible throughout an organisation.
