GGP eGaz - Online Property Portal
eGaz is the next generation of eGovernment web solution. Specifically designed to fit the existing eGovernment based systems of Local Authorities, eGaz offers simple harmony between software. eGaz collates information directly and publishes the results to a browser in one solution.

Acting as a GIS portal for ‘live’ data, eGaz relates results to an identified and queried property. Information can be obtained in a simple one-stop-shop without the need for GI application knowledge for datasets like that of planning, council tax, environmental health, and much more.

How would eGaz benefit your Council?

eGaz assists your Council in achieving and expanding on eGovernment aims and objectives by meeting priority outcome G5. Using XLM data exchange, eGaz enables council service information to be centred in a “portal”, enhancing local community and environmental information to your staff and citizens.

LLPG Connectivity
eGaz completes the much needed publication and connectivity requirements of Local Authorities’ Local Land and Property Gazetteers via Web/XML connectors straight from the box. Building on GGP Systems reputation for out-of-the-box solutions, eGaz is easy to get up and running. A myriad of NLPG GMS applications are catered for through “plugins” pushing GGP Systems eGIF/OGC compliance boundaries further than before. An eGaz user can be confident that they are always viewing “live” BS7666 data.

eGIS Connectivity
Due to its “portal” nature, eGaz plugs the Local Authorities web GIS tool into the solution and simply allows data to be communicated at both a textual and spatial level. Authorities wishing to integrate other eGoverment solutions will find the added bonuses with priority outcomes, G14, and R7 directly met.

Data Compliance
eGaz is a BS7666 2006 compliant tool, ensuring that data is always presented accurately. Being fully XHTML compliant, eGaz can be seamlessly merged with your Council website. Using Human Computer Interaction (HCI) principles during the design process has meant the solution offers straightforward usage without the need for training.

Customisation
Administrators can completely customise eGaz, both in the data reflected and the user interface, fitting with the current branding and feel of a Councils website. Customisation can be taken much further with the addition of Customised Web Links, enabling information from other organisations and public bodies to be queried in relation to the chosen property. This feature uniquely minimises the need for data cleansing.

Cost Effective
Providing the public the ability to access information freely, officers are able to spend more time on prioritised tasks. eGaz provides the Council with a quick and easy solution to deliver community and local information.

Office Integration
eGaz is readied for the call-centre environment, able to be integrated into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other front-office systems.

Support
GGP Systems has extensive experience with over 16 years of supporting Local Authorities’ needs in GIS. We offer ongoing support and maintenance for eGaz including free upgrades.

Feature Summary

Searching

Postcodes or street names are used to identify properties with partial matching capabilities. Users can immediately view up-to-date information about a property, such as the full postal address, ownerships, planning constraints, as well as the location of nearby local facilities and services.

Map Integration
eGaz offers the ability to link to an existing mapping browser using Eastings and Northings, providing an instant map of a property location. eGGP, GGP’s Intranet/Internet mapping solution or other similar eGIS solution, can be used to provide the user with instant access to GIS tools.

Spatial Query Lookups
Using GGP’s Parsol-light connector, eGaz can perform spatial queries and produce specialised information regarding constraints and other factors affecting properties based on council held data.

Find My Nearest…?
Using eGGPs advanced eGIS engine, eGaz uses co-ordinates from a selected property to perform radial lookups on facilities and services, such as “where is my nearest... ?”

Customised Web Links
Acting as a portal, eGaz, enables Councils to increase the range of online services they provide without the responsibility for managing multitudinous datasets. eGaz uses postcode information to form searches on other websites such as the NHS, returning information on the locations of the nearest doctors or other location based service.
