GGP eGAZ delivers online property information

GGP_eGAZ_delivers_online_property_information GGP Systems has developed eGAZ, a tool that helps Local Authorities to meet their e-Government targets by delivering property specific information via an easy to use web browser. eGAZ searches Council databases and provides links to external websites to deliver a range of information relating to an individual property.  By entering a postcode or street name to identify a property, users can immediately view information about that property such as the full postal address, planning restraints, as well as the location of nearby local facilities and services through a "Find My Nearest...?" search facility.

eGAZ integrates Council managed databases and software and provides links to external organisations. When a search is initiated a partial address is matched against the Council's central address database until a specific property has been chosen. The Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN) of this property is then used to provide the link with other Council data and online services.  By matching properties to planning records, for example, answers to standard planning questions can then be returned such as "Am I in a preservation area? How do I apply for planning permission? Is that tree protected?".

eGAZ can also link to other online services provided by the Council such as online mapping.  Using eGGP or any other mapping solution, a link with eGAZ matches properties to locations allowing a map of the property and its surroundings to be displayed.

eGAZ enables information from other organisations to be queried in relation to a property and returns the results within the browser window. This enables Councils to increase the range of online services they provide without having to manage multiple datasets. For example eGAZ uses the postcode of the property to link to the National Health Service's website identifying the location of the nearest doctors surgery, dental practice or pharmacy.  The local town can also be matched to the BBC's website to provide local news.  Other potential applications include nearest school, day care facility or pupil referral unit via the OFSTED site or links to local business directories or community services.

eGaz is part of a range of Management Information System (MIS) tools from GGP Systems specifically designed for local authorities. GGP's MIS tools provide councils with easy to use solutions for the creation and management of corporate property databases, the ability to add and use a spatial element to all location based information, and a range of solutions to meet e-Government directives.
